How Our Grant Process Works
At The Sandwich Fundation, we believe in funding ideas that make Sandwich shine. Our grant process is designed to be fair, transparent, and impactful—just like the projects we support! Here’s what you can expect:
Review
We start by carefully reviewing each application to make sure it aligns with our mission.
Screening
Next, we decide as a team if an application moves forward to grading. If it does, it’s time to dig into the details!
Grading
We use a simple, easy-to-follow grading rubric to score applications based on things like impact, feasibility, sustainability, creativity, and alignment to our mission.
Sorting & Scaling
Applications are grouped into one of three categories: projects, programs, or special events, and scored consistently, ensuring every project gets the attention it deserves.
Final Selection
The finalists are those who score the highest in each rubric category. When there’s more than one robust application in a category, the highest score takes the lead.
Grant Awards
We fund as many projects as possible until our available funding for the cycle is fully allocated. Our goal? To see your ideas in action!
